Getting started

Licensed Mental Health Counseling Associate (LMCHA)

As a Licensed Mental Health Counseling Associate, I am supervised by Katie Olvera, PsyD.  You can review her website if you would like more information about her. In working with Katie, I am able to accept the following forms of insurance: Regence, Kaiser, Premera/Lifewise, Molina, First Choice PPO, Aetna, Cigna. The standard fee for an intake is $225 and individual therapy is $195. For individuals without insurance or who have insurance that I do not accept, private pay is an option as well.

I am currently accepting new clients for both in-person and secure  telehealth sessions.

Getting started

Taking the first step toward counseling is an act of courage—and simply being here, exploring your options, is something to honor. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, hurting, or just curious about what therapy might offer, welcome.

I offer a steady, compassionate space where you can speak your story out loud. Naming what has felt unspoken or unheard is often the first step.

    • Reach Out
Send me a message and let me know a little about what you’re hoping for in counseling. Feel free to include any questions you may have.

    • Schedule a Free 15-Minute Consultation
We’ll connect by phone or secure HIPAA-compliant video to briefly talk about what’s bringing you in and see if my approach might be a good fit.

    • Complete Your Intake Paperwork
If we decide to move forward, you’ll receive an email from Growing Fern Counseling inviting you to set up your client portal through SimplePractice – there you will review and complete your intake paperwork before our first session.

    • Attend Your First Session
Our first full session is a chance for us to get to know each other, talk more about your goals, and begin exploring how I can support you.

    • Decide on Next Steps
If it feels like a good fit, we’ll schedule ongoing sessions that support your goals.
If it doesn’t feel like the right match, that’s okay—I’m happy to offer referrals to other counselors in the area.

You don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. Therapy is a place to explore, heal, and grow—and I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
